Jason Spitz: The Green Bay Packers ended center Jason Spitz’s season Saturday, putting him on injured reserve and filling the spot with practice squad wide receiver Biren Ealy. HC Mike McCarthy said Spitz’s injured lower back wasn’t making progress.

Ealy (6-foot-2, 212 pounds) played in four games with Tennessee in 2007 and spent last season on the Titans’ practice squad.
