First pick draft simulation
« on: March 06, 2018, 05:32:31 AM »
here is my take on first picks mock game.  I know we will not use this number of picks but trades offered too much value.  Sound like Teddy T.
Your score is: 23170 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 31 (N.E.):  McGlinchey, Mike, OT, Notre Dame (A)
Round 2 Pick 11 (N.E.):  Phillips, Harrison, DT, Stanford (A-)
Round 2 Pick 13:  Washington, James, WR, Oklahoma State (A)
Round 3 Pick 12:  Carter, Lorenzo, OLB, Georgia (A)
Round 3 Pick 19 (BALT):  Blanding, Quin, FS, Virginia (A-)
Round 3 Pick 33 (ARI):  Gesicki, Mike, TE, Penn State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 14:  Gallup, Michael, WR, Colorado State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 18 (BALT):  Nelson, Nick, CB, Wisconsin (A)
Round 4 Pick 33:  St Brown, Equanimeous, WR, Notre Dame (A+)
Round 4 Pick 34 (ARI):  Fumagalli, Troy, TE, Wisconsin (A)
Round 5 Pick 13:  Lauletta, Kyle, QB, Richmond (A)
Round 5 Pick 35:  Madison, Cole, OG, Washington State (A+)
Round 5 Pick 37:  Jones, Justin, DT, North Carolina State (A+)
Round 6 Pick 10 (S.F.):  Dooley, Garret, OLB, Wisconsin (A+)
Round 6 Pick 12:  Jackson, JC, CB, Maryland (A+)
Round 6 Pick 33:  Lotulelei, Lowell, DT, Utah (A)
Round 7 Pick 14:  Toth, Brett, OT, Army (A+)
Round 7 Pick 21:  Lawler, Justin, DE, Southern Methodist (A)
This allows strengthening of OL, replenishing TE, some new WR blood

Hahaha - I hear you on the value of trades in First-Pick!  I did the same thing today - tons of trades and I just couldn't pass them up.  Here's what I ended up with:

Your score is: 23775 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 16 (BALT):  Ward, Denzel, CB, Ohio State (A+)
Round 2 Pick 15 (ARI):  Okorafor, Chukwuma, OT, Western Michigan (A)
Round 2 Pick 20 (BALT):  Landry, Harold, OLB/DE, Boston College (A)
Round 3 Pick 12:  Allen, Marcus, FS, Penn State (A+)
Round 3 Pick 22 (K.C.):  Clapp, Will, C/OG, LSU (A)
Round 4 Pick 14:  Gesicki, Mike, TE, Penn State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 25 (TENN):  Jackson, Donte, CB, LSU (A+)
Round 4 Pick 35 (NYG):  Miller, Kolton, OT, UCLA (A)
Round 5 Pick 13:  Lauletta, Kyle, QB, Richmond (A)
Round 5 Pick 35:  Street, Kentavius, DT, North Carolina State (A)
Round 5 Pick 37:  Scarbrough, Bo, RB, Alabama (A)
Round 6 Pick 4 (IND):  Tate, Auden, WR, Florida State (A+)
Round 6 Pick 12:  Bellamy, Davin, OLB, Georgia (A+)
Round 6 Pick 22 (K.C.):  Jones, Justin, DT, North Carolina State (A+)
Round 6 Pick 25 (TENN):  Dooley, Garret, OLB, Wisconsin (A+)
Round 6 Pick 33:  Fitts, Kylie, DE/OLB, Utah (A+)
Round 7 Pick 3 (IND):  Carrington II, Darren, WR, Utah (A+)
Round 7 Pick 21:  Adams, Tony, OG, North Carolina State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 22 (S.F.):  Reed, DJ, CB, Kansas State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 23 (WASH):  Avery, Genard, ILB, Memphis (B+)

I did a more "realistic" one as well using only the Packers picks - no trades.  Like that as well, but I'd definitely prefer the haul above!

Your score is: 22338 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 14:  Ward, Denzel, CB, Ohio State (A)
Round 2 Pick 13:  Washington, James, WR, Oklahoma State (A)
Round 3 Pick 12:  Carter, Lorenzo, OLB, Georgia (A)
Round 4 Pick 14:  Gesicki, Mike, TE, Penn State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 33:  Miller, Kolton, OT, UCLA (A+)
Round 5 Pick 13:  Igwebuike, Godwin, FS, Northwestern (A+)
Round 5 Pick 35:  Street, Kentavius, DT, North Carolina State (A)
Round 5 Pick 37:  Hearn, Taylor, OG, Clemson (A+)
Round 6 Pick 12:  Scarbrough, Bo, RB, Alabama (A+)
Round 6 Pick 33:  Harrison, Desmond, OT, West Georgia (A+)
Round 7 Pick 14:  Aruna, Ade, DE, Tulane (A+)
Round 7 Pick 21:  Kalambayi, Peter, OLB, Stanford (A)

I'd be VERY happy with either of these drafts though - that's for sure!

I drafted a Fanspeak big board (put up on 6 Mar), Fanspeak team needs, difficult level, five rounds, no trades..........and got:

1)  LB Tremaine Edmunds
2)  CB Isiah Oliver
3)  TE Dallas Goedert
4)  WR Equanimeous St.Brown
4c) WR D.J.Chark
5)  TE Ian Thomas
5c) G  Skyler Phillips
5c)  QB Mike White

Something of a dream draft. I'm sure several of those I picked go earlier than I drafted them. For example I can't see Edmunds being there at 14 (though that is possible as he is so young), or Chark at the bottom of round 4. Goedert looks like a round 2 guy and Mike White is probably a 4th rounder by now.

That's a strong draft.  I think I like Fanspeak more thank First-Pick as they update rankings more often, but like the "scoring" of the First-Pick site as a way to rank.  I need to go on Fanspeak and do a post-combine 7 round draft.

I'd never heard of first-pick, I just looked them up. I'll probably sign up and have a go on their site.

It's definitely fun and another option.  The ability to do trades (you get them offered to you when it's your turn to pick) is great, but the frequency is a bit unrealistic.  It's fun to unleash your inner TT and keep trading back to pick up more draft picks tho.

I think I did one where I ended up with 21 total picks for the Pack - crazy!
