Can't argue with the logic.

Having Mo and T-Will on board will help the rest with the learning curve.

YES! Great news! If people wanted a vet presence in the backfield, they just got a very good one!

Loved Tramon years ago.  Hope he can still cover now.  If nothing else he can teach and mentor the young DB's.  Want to see what the contract is.

Don't imagine he can cover that well anymore.  I thought a common perception was that he had already lost his speed/quickness before he left the Packers.  Maybe I'm misremembering, beats me.

But probably says something about how weak the Packer secondary is that a guy Tramon's age might be an upgrade.

Still, any progress on the anti-awful continuum is good.

Found these stats on the interwebs- profootballfocus.com

Last season Tramon had a 50% completion against rate - which qualified as 12th best out of 119 CBs in the league.  He finished 8th in passer rating against @ 56.8.

Both of those stats reflect a still highly competent cover man so good depth signing (assuming contract is very reasonable)

I remember watching him on TV one game last year when he was on a primetime game. He performed very well, the announcers were making a lot of positive talk about him all game. I think the word was that Pettine uses press coverage a lot. That helps aging guys who may not be as quick as they used to be, and it helps the front seven with possibly more time to get home.

Tramon played quite well last year, and I think he was mostly healthy. Whether another year of aging has eroded his skills remains to be seen. But like others have posted, he’s a good locker room guy and he’ll definitely be a positive influence on these young CBs.

Glad he's back. He was one of the highest rated CB available in FA this year based on last years performance. I hope he can duplicate it!
