The OFFICIAL Packers v Panthers Game Day Thread
« on: December 13, 2017, 03:54:53 PM »
Another week, another chance to run the table. And suddenly, on 12/12, we find that #12 will be starting. How appropriate. Is this the right move? The team thinks so, Rodgers seems to agree, so, like it or not, its going to happen. So, the real question is whether the team, which has fought so hard and overcome some seemingly insurmountable circumstances, will relax a bit with "The Man" back at the controls. MM was asked about this, and responded:

So, if the Packers can get their running game going, get Nelson more involved, and for goodness sake, stop somebody on third down, that would be a major plus. If the offense can get into a rhythm, and rather than three and outs, have some more extended drives so the defense can get a little rest before getting back onto the field. So, the Packers are still walking that high wire, still alive, and still don't control their fate. At this point, its "Just win, baby" and hope for the best.

I wonder if ARs is gonna start.....probably eh?

Running game ; quick release passes & a whole new ball game when it comes to stretching the field.
Should be interesting to see....and since it'll be on my TV screen, I think I'll do just that  :)

Packers News:
Rodgers might be the first NFL quarterback to break his collarbone on his throwing side and return the same season.

When we win the SB this year....step aside Tom  :)

This is going to be our toughest game of the 3 remaining.  I wish this one was at Lambeau...

Packer activate Rodgers, and waive QB Joe Callahan. Callahan could be signed to the practice squad.

Check out the x-mas suits the guys wore on the plane to NC.  They look loose and happy.    ;D

Would people be surprised if Hundley was the starting QB tomorrow? Has Rodgers been named the starter?

Aaron was officially added to the active roster today so I'm certain he'll start tomorrow.

But was it a case of the NFL timeline for activate or permanent IR forced the Packers hand to add him? I think he starts, I don't think they cut Callahan if Rodgers wasn't starting. Just wondering if their was an official word out there.

Containing Cam Newton in the pocket is one of the main keys to victory tomorrow, IMO. Keep him in the pocket and make him beat you with his arm and not his legs.

It would have been nice if they lost but we can still take care of them later.  The most important game this year is the one later today in NC.

A harbinger of today's outcome?
