Packers 2018 partial schedule
« on: April 18, 2018, 06:55:13 PM »
An NFL head office guy was photographed caring the 2018 schedule and the Packers were on top. Here's what could be seen:

Week 1: 49ers at Packers
Week 2: Packers at Jets
Week 3: Falcons at Packers
Week 4: Lions at Packers
Week 5: Packers at Seahawks
Week 10: Packers at Rams
Week 11: Packers at Bears TNF
Week 12: Dolphins at Packers

Normally if a team is going to play on the road on TNF they have a home game before. That would be a huge disadvantage for GB to travel to the west coast to play and then have another road game on thursday night. Hope this is incorrect.

This release from the NFL,

The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams will play at Estadio Azteca on Nov. 19 at 8:15 p.m. ET, the league announced Wednesday night.

That makes the photograph of the Packers schedule bogus. They have the Packers playing the Rams on Nov.18 and the NFL official release has them in Mexico on Nov. 19th.

The truth shall soon be known.

Full schedule deduced from compilation of posted leaks. (? = pure guess because not enough information to resolve.) Obviously not guaranteed correct.

Sept. 9 vs. Bears      SNF
Sept. 16 vs. Vikings
Sept. 23 @Redskins
Sept. 30 vs. Bills
Oct. 7 @Lions?
Oct. 15 vs. 49ers*       MNF
Oct. 21 BYE
Oct. 28 @Rams
Nov.4 @Patriots      SNF
Nov. 11 vs. Dolphins
Nov. 18 @Seahawks?
Nov. 25 @Vikings
Dec. 2 vs. Cardinals
Dec. 9 vs. Falcons
Dec. 16 @Bears
Dec. 23 @Jets
Dec. 30 vs. Lions

Amendments:

Nov. 25 game is SNF.
Seahawks game is Nov. 15, TNF. This confirms that week and the Oct. 7 game.

Games in Nov and Dec may be flexed. 1pm games are a crap shoot if you don't live in Wisconsin. If the game gets flexed to 4pm or SNF, then you'll almost certainly get it no antenna TV.

Overall I like the schedule. It is setup for the first 6 games before the bye for the Packers to get off to a fast start. Four of the first six at home and the 2 road games should be very winable type games. Also the last 5 games in the month of December are very favorable for the Packers as well. The middle set of 5 games after the bye, 4 on the road with the Seattle game on a thursday night, is a brutal stretch. Start fast, survive the middle and finish strong. I like it!

If we win 3 out of those 5 middle games, we should consider ourselves very lucky.
