Title: strange problem with iPhone
Post by: Yuletide on December 21, 2013, 08:28:30 PM
when I try to browse the forum with my iPhone, I get a strange message about being banned for spamming multiple threads trying to recruit members for another website.  This happens whether I'm logged in or not. It just started a couple days ago.

I just got this message this morning as well.  No idea what it means:

"Sorry Hydrogeo, you are banned from using this forum!
jerk - Thanks for showing your true colors by coming in and trying to recruit our Members for another place...sounds familiar. Your multiple spamming targeted many threads in different Forums and would have no doubt continued until you were reported.
This ban is not set to expire."

I checked a few times today and it seems that I am OK. Not sure what the issue could be...

Can anyone help me with this issue?  I still can't browse on my iphone; very annoying.   I've tried the soft/hard resets on the iphone and it still won't let me in....

I saw MarkLawrence make this post in another thread; could this be part of the reason on why I can't get online with my phone:
"For every one person who leaves because of that there are a dozen who leave because of what happened in the gameday threads last year. Take that for what it is worth.
I don't believe that. I believe Larry was sucker punched by MD68. Who made promises, then did everything he could to steal our membership for his board. May he rot in Detroit for all eternity."

I have no idea who MD68 is; but the error message I am receiving makes reference to "poaching" members??

I'm going to lose my job if I can't use my phone to browse this site :)

I had this same problem last night. Any word on what's causing it?
