Trevathan is going to the Bears, so this thread is moot.

Well there goes that. Not surprised. Not too concerned either.

Will be interesting to see what he cost.  Same for Forte.  In the Trevathan case, he had a connection and appreciation for Fox.  Since the Packers are so D+D, I don't think they ever have the kind of thing, connections with players on other teams.

Well, we didn't get Forte, Trevathan or L. Green.

And Trevathan went to a rival.

I've seen Trevathan's numbers as 4 yrs $24.5 mil w/ $12 mil guaranteed.   Pretty reasonable numbers.

Jerell Freeman is the guy I was cautiously hoping for.   If those were Trevathan's numbers I would think Freeman would come in very reasonably being several years older.

Chiefs and Indy are in the running for him though and - of course - any FA signing by GB is a pipe dream

Forte got 3 years 12 million with 8 guaranteed.

Exactly what the rumors speculated....................that he would command no more than $4M/yr.

Trevathan seems pretty small for what the Packers ask their ILBs to do. No big loss.
