Adams - "He’s a must re-sign"

Jordy & Cobb - "It’s mainly a matter of whether Nelson has lost too much speed. You also can’t rule out the Packers moving on from both"

Corey Linsley - "The Packers' other priority re-sign has to be center Corey Linsley"

Morgan Burnett - "The hardest free-agent call is Morgan Burnett. The Packers are in position to move on"

Clay Matthews - "Matthews, 31, obviously isn’t the pass rusher he once was. His $11.4 million pay in ’18 is too high for a guy who’s no longer routinely winning one-on-one pass-rushing battles. The Packers can lower his ’18 pay in the face-saving way described earlier — offer a decent guarantee, add a year or two on the deal and cut his salary. But just as important is where to play him. I’d move him back inside"

Bryan Bulaga - "His torn ACL in early November is a problem. There’s a decent chance he’ll open next season on the physically unable to perform list, which would mean he’d effectively miss the first half of the season.....on the other hand, the Packers don’t have a replacement in waiting"

I don't see how you can argue with any of this. The Packers could move on from Jorday and Cobb but I see only one of them going. Right now, we have a better chance of replacing Cobb as Jordy can play in the slot and boundry. Cobb is just a slot guy. We also have Montgomery who could play the slot and be more like a Sterling Sharpe guy where he just overpowers the DB to get open.

I'd have to see some pretty amazing things out of one of Allison, Clark and/or Davis these last two games to make me think moving on from both is a good idea. Either that or TT has to go and get a WR in free agency. Good luck with that.

I'm not so sure Jordy's the natural selection to hang on to.
Old is old and slow is slow. You dont get any younger or faster by shifting positions. You just get easier to cover.

As for Montgomery - I'm at a crossroads with him. Reviewing....what have we got?

Year one - Flashes of promise at WR. Nothing much more than that. Cut short halfway thru with a season ending injury. Oh well, here's to next year.

Year two - Flashes of promise at RB. Perhaps a bit more than flashes...but nothing with an outright conclusive feel to it and alot of nicks and cuts along the way which eventually shut him down in the last game. Oh well, here's to next year as full time RB. Really? You feel sure about that?

Year three - Nothing much of anything. Anywhere.

Year four? - Well lets see now.........

Nagler -
Do I think it's time for the Packers to move on from Ted Thompson? Yes.
Do I expect Mark Murphy to make the call to do so? No.

TT has been average in the last seven drafts. Because TT depends so much on the draft to stock the team with players, look at the drafts since 2011, I won't count 2017. Here's the numbers: 2011 - D. Serrod, 1st pick, injured, bust, R. Cobb and L. Guy are the only players in the league. So, 2011 was a bad draft. 2012 - N.Perry and C.Hayward are the only players in the league, bad draft. 2013 - D.Jones, bust, E.Lacy, D. Bakhtiari, J.C. Tretter, and M. Hyde are still in the league. 4 out of 11, are in the league, Bakhtiari is one of the best LT in the league. This would be an average draft, but D. Jones, really downgrades a possible good draft. 2014 - H.H.C.D., D.Adams, R.Rodgers, J.Janis are all with the Packers. K.Thornton, J.Abbderis, and D. Goodson have been bounced around NFL rosters. This draft would be good, because of HHCD and D.Adams. 2015 - D.Randall, Q.Rollins, T.Montgomery, J.Ryan, B.Hundley, and Ripkowski are still on the roster. D.Randall has finally shown flashes as a CB this year. T.Montgomery can't stay healthy and Rollins is looking more like a bust. This draft would right now be below average. 2016 - All seven players are still on the roster, Clark, Martinez and Lowery are starters. Clark and Martinez are looking like very good players. This could be a very good draft. So, looking at all the drafts, and even at Rookie Free agents, there's no way that the Packers can continue to operate the same way they have in the past. Ted tried to dabble some in lower level Free agency this last year, with poor results. Ted has to try Free agency again. The one area he hasn't used is trades. The Eagles have really used this to make their team better. Ted has to alter his way of doing business, or retire. There is no way to just use the draft, the results do not lie.

I agree with point here.  When you live on D+D, you need to do it well.  Over those last seven drafts, D+D just hasn't been especially good.  Need to D+D better to make it work.

Ted hasn't been completely awful.  Honestly, he's just been average.  Hasn't had multiple terrible drafts, but be hasn't added enough playmakers for this team to win a championship.

The reality for 31 teams is that you need 1 or 2 huge drafts to compete.  Look at the saints.  Kamara, Thomas, and their CB all in one draft.  A few years back it was the Seahawks.

New England is the personal exception.
I'm right and everyone else does not have an opinion worth talking about.

Nagler  -  Justin McCray has been a real find for the Packers. That kid can play.

His best position might be RG, but he pitched a heck of a shutout last night against a good pass rusher. He may be out RT next year by default. BTW, Lucas Patrick did himself proud at RG as well.

The silver lining to the season would be all the playing time back up offensive linemen got this year. It will pay dividends moving forward.

Good news for those of you who want the Packers to lose so they get a higher draft position! They’ve moved from 16th to 13th with this weekend’s results  :-\ :

Actually, they've only moved up to 15 or one spot. The tiebreaker is strength of schedule and we had a more difficult one so we draft lower than Washington and Arizona at this point.

Golf, since the Packers and Washington have the same SOS, is the Division record the next tiebreaker?

In any case, I hope the “tank fans” are satisfied moving up a single spot after that Humiliating loss to the skoll-kings. I’ve never heard of Lambeau being taken over by the opposing fans...until last night.

I am not sure, it may be a coin toss, but after next week the likelyhood of that still being a tie is very slim. They play the Giants so good chance they will pass us by. Although the Lions have nothing to play for, other than Caldwell's job, which may be a deterrent to the players.

Okay well I'm gonna trade Davon House and next years #4 to more up and draft Lattimore @ 11  :)

Kruse -
If the Packers do lose WRs coach Luke Getsy to Miss. State, you'd have to think David Raih, who is currently the team's offensive perimeter coach, would be a top candidate to replace him.
