The #Packers have informed NT Kenny Clark they’re placing him on injured reserve, source said. No surgery needed on his injured elbow, but they’re out of the playoff chase, so breakout season ends early.

Jamerson, Redmond, Tony Brown, Siragusa, Tray Matthews and Redding is an impressive group off waivers. It should make for great competition bringing in more year 2-3 players into camp next year over a large pool of UDFA's.  thumbsup)

I like it.....exactly what they should be doing. Mining for talent everywhere.
Right now the Packers just don't have enough talent....period.

The Green Bay Packers signed RB Lavon Coleman to the active roster from the practice squad and placed CB Will Redmond on injured reserve.

Redmond didn't last long on the active roster. They did need some insurance at RB for the last 2 games.

The Packers shut down DT Kenny Clark (elbow) last week and they finally put him on injured reserve today, a source told ESPN's Field Yates. Tackle Alex Light, coming off a one-game PED suspension, will take his place on the roster.

Swearinger ended back with the Cardinals. Too bad. It would have been nice to have another option at safety. However, the Cardinals also released a safety from their practice squad: Fish Smithson. I don't care if the guy can play a lick, I LOVE that name! After all, how many teams have a "Smithson" on the roster?

The Packers have claimed K Sam Ficken off of waivers from the Seahawks, per source.

I admit I had never heard of him before, but the Packers will be the fifth team he has went to camp with. So far in his career he has been the definition of a camp body. Filled in for 4 games for the Rams and was 3 of 6 on FG tries and 14 of 15 on extra points.

I didn't want to start a thread over a number given to a rookie draft choice, but the fact that number 96 was given to Kingsley Keke subtly confirms that Mo Wilkerson is not going to be re-signed. I didn't believe that he would be, but sure of it now.

Packers released Siragusa (sp?)

That doesn't surprise me, he had the kind of knee injury that people seldom comeback from. The Packers rolled the dice with really no investment involved to see what an off season of time might do for him. Nothing lost there, he was damaged goods from the get go.

Packers’ first-round pick Darnell Savage agreed to 4-year deal with Green Bay that includes a 5th-year option, per source. Savage is first first rounder to get a deal done.

Add both 6th rounders and 7th round pick to the list of draft choices signed. 4 down and 4 to go, would not be surprised to see most if not all signed by the end of the weekend.

Having the CBA defining the contracts has sure helped with that.  Nice not to have the extended contract negotiations and holdouts of days past.
