I really think ZaDarious Smith is the name that will be added. He's built to stop the run and apply pressure. I would think he of all the FA fits the need of the Packers more than anyone still available. So, I'm hoping Gutsy gets him and a TE.

Agree Hands that ZaDarious being a former DE  might be the logical choice now. I hear a little buzz about Amos also, worth a flyer at the right price. In the end hopefully the money isn't a regrettable thing.

So far we've handed out 2 of the top 7 / 3 of the top 12 // and 4 of the top 19 contracts in Free Agency and are still rumored in the Le'Veon Bell sweepstakes (which I hope we don't win - even though he's the best pass-blocking RB in the NFL in addition to his run/rec skills)

What’s happened - it’s been like an hour since GB signed anyone.

I think it may have just dawned on them that they don’t get to just spend all the money TT didn’t

An extra silver lining for the day is the Packers didn't make this deal for Ford.

The Chiefs have a deal in place that will send Ford to San Francisco for a second-round pick in 2020, sources say

Ford just secured the bag, folks. He’s agreed to a five-year deal worth $87.5 million, a source confirms.

Not a prediction but what I would like to see in free agency:

Adrian Amos would be my first choice at Safety (Thomas would be from a talent standpoint) and would kick the tires and gauge interest, but I would consider making a hard run at Eric Weddle. Yes he is older. Couple that with drafting Thornhill, Adderly, or Savage and IMO we are covered at the position both now and moving forward.

Baushaud Breeland. Capable vet. Young secondary. Enough said.

Preston or Za'Darius Smith. Both can provide pass rush, are young and durable, and play the run very well. Would be happy with either guy.

Shane Ray in addition to one of the Smiths. Should come considerably cheaper and be a pretty good bang for your buck situational pass rusher. The addition of these guys should lessen the feeling that we must take a pass rusher in the first round. By doing so guys like Oliver, Wilkins, Williams, Risner, White, or Hockenson come into play at 12. Or one could swing for the fences if Quinnen Williams drops to #4. Both our 1sts could make it happen. Could select a developmental guy later such as Banago, Winovich, or Nelson.

Would like to see Roger Saffold as well, but working with limited funds. Not monopoly money.

Amazingly prescient. Nailed Z. Smith and Amos (right from A to Z!). And instead of Ray, got another Smith. So, what numbers do you suggest for the next Pwerball?  thumbsup)

Panthers release left tackle Matt Kalil after two years.  Worth a one year deal to prove he is healthy?

FWIW........................Gute said today that they aren't done with free agency just yet.

Does he mean they still hope to sign CB/Breeland and S/Campbell, but at Gute's price and not the players pie-in-the-sky price?
Or...............does he have an eye on someone outside Packerland?

Stay tuned!!
