Will 2014 comp picks affect free agency for the Packers?

Beyond Greg Jennings, the Packers 2013 UFA list isn't exactly a who's who of valuable commodities. So, assuming the loss of Jennings puts us in line for an extra 3rd or 4th in 2014, do you think TT will be (even) less willing to go after UFA because of the risk of losing that pick? Or are guys like Walden and Brad Jones likely enough to find new homes that we don't have to worry about not qualifying for the comp pick?

I think Walden is gone, Jones will be brought back because he's solid as a backup ILB and a good coverage backer, also he does well on special teams.
If you're gonna be dumb, you've gotta be tough.

But what if no one signs Walden? Even signing one UFA would mean forfeiting the comp pick (as high as a 3rd-rounder) Jennings would have netted us. I really don't see TT being willing to do that...

Should also be noted: I don't think Canty would count against comp picks, since he was cut...

Who cares about comp picks?  If TT wants to bring in a notable FA then I say hooray.  They can have their comp picks.  We typically end up with more than 7 draft picks per year anyway.  We need to shore up some holes with some veterans in my opinion.  I think bringing in a guy who can play the DL, possibly a RB, and someone who can play any of the LB positions would go a long way towards giving the packers freedom in the draft.

I pretty much agree, but something in me says TT will weigh any UFA option against the loss of the comp pick -- ie. "Would I trade a 3rd-round draft pick for this guy?" -- in which case the answer may well be no across the board...
