Erik Walden to Colts
« on: March 12, 2013, 02:43:03 PM »
Colts signed OLB Erik Walden, formerly of the Packers.
27-year-old Walden is an outside pass rusher who managed nine sacks in Green Bay over the past three seasons. Walden should be a backup in Indianapolis.

Wow alot of money for a career backup.  They should have watched more tape from that Niners game.

Holy crap. For just the low cost of 4 million more per season, they could have gotten Paul Kruger instead. I'm happy for Walden, but there's no way I'd spend that kind of money for a backup. He's a solid reserve, but there's no way that he should be viewed as a long-term starter. He is not a core guy to build around. Really glad TT is in charge even if free agency is boring for Packers fans.
