i have found that the best way to overcome the "hanging" issue on this site is to avoid the ad server as much as possible. i find that if i use the combination of chrome and adblockplus i almost never have any issues.

It has been pretty good lately on all browsers that I have tried: Chrome, IE and Firefox.
