Ray Horton ...
« on: December 29, 2013, 07:18:55 PM »
Don't want to be a downer on this glorious day, but with Chudzinski getting fired in Cleveland former Cardinals and current Brown DC Ray Horton is now likely available should the Pack decide Dom should not lead the D in 2014.

His D's have been pretty darn good while getting virtually no help from the O.

Probably belongs in the NFL section. Not sure who the guy is but to me at least, Capers doesn't have the answers anymore.

They might make him HC tbh. He's got the resume.

If he leaves it will be to take a head coaching job. I doubt he gets fired.

Would absolutely love Horton and his intensity, but I agree with the others here that if he's leaving it's to take a HC job, though its probably more likely he takes the Cleveland job if they don't land a big name right off the bat

All he really needs to be a great head coaching candidate is to be the DC on a super bowl team . . . hint hint
Super Bowl Or Bust . . . no one plays to finish second

Wow, I was coming here to post the exact same sentiment. If they lose Sunday, I hope the contract is faxed to Horton by 7 p.m. Not many out-of-work 3-4 gurus out there, so he's a plum.

From what I've read, the staff was essentially told to pack their bags. The Browns supposedly want to hire Jim Schwartz.
