Free Agency Day 1
« on: March 11, 2014, 02:12:28 PM »
So far, I'd have to say the contracts signed today do not seem to be outlandish. Even Brandon Albert's deal is under 10 a year average for a franchise LT.

Ted might be able to get some real bargains in free agency. Given what Jones and Houston got, Raji better take that 4 million offer on a one year prove it deal before it becomes 2 million.

Nothing outlandish, but nothing I really wish we'd done either. I think you're right that TT will have an opportunity to get some solid players at a decent price after the dust settles a bit.

That seems like it's gonna be true but it doesn't seem like we r gonna get any top name FA but I might see us get in the mix for Damarcus wear if the price is right but that would be a nice duo rushing the passer Matthews and ware

Ware and Woodley are both at that age TT usually stays away from, but would love either, especially Ware. Wonder what Revis Island is going to get as well.

Vontae Davis just signed with the Colts for similar to what Shields got -- 4 years, $39 million, $20 million guaranteed.

I feel revis island is gonna turn into a black hole so Tampa doesn't have to see him and the raiders have the money to do it

5YR/25M for Jackson.  Thanks, but no thanks.  TT was correct to take a pass on that one.

He's real solid against the run so that is not a totally outrageous contract like we've seen in the past. If Walden is worth 4 a year Tyson Jackson is worth 5.

Michael Bennett was a real force for Seattle this year and he got $28.5 mill for 4 years.  Tyson Jackson got paid way too much.  Raise the cap a little and some of these teams spend like drunken yuppies.   crazy)

I know a lot of fans don't like him, but if they can get Raji back for the one year offer, it's a good deal.

There's not any deals made so far that I'd have really wanted the Packers to make. Would still inquire about Byrd and Mack, but I think TT focuses on bringing back his guys and maybe adding a Tier 2 player or more.

The only one I could have seen him make was the one TJ Ward signed. Only 5.75 a year.

IF TT gets active, and personally I thin he will, it won't be for a few days. As someone wrote, once the dust settles, the Packers will start get some players to fill some holes. But son't expect any "names". I'm listening to the archive of "Homer and Thunder", and they're busy ripping TT for not being more active. I just hope a vet Safety is in the cards.
