Your view on SB odds
« on: October 29, 2014, 12:34:47 PM »
Mark has been kind enough to post the ever changing superbowl odds here. Where do you put some teams' chances of  winning our trophy?

Team       SB Win
     F.O. Silver LV
DEN 30.3%  21%  13/5     8/1 or worse. Manning finds a way to choke in big games
ARI  4.3%  11%  14/1       12/1. I'd love to see a team win with D
NE   3.2%  11%  10/1       14/1. Seems like the end of the road
SEA  5.6%   8%   8/1        12/1. Way too many changes for a team to succeed.
DAL  7.2%   6%   9/1        20/1  seriously
SF   0.6%   6%  14/1        12/1 a lot of talent coming back
PHI  6.2%   5%  20/1       seems about right
GB   7.0%   4%  10/1      10/1 seems about right.
IND  5.2%   4%  16/1
DET  6.9%   4%  25/1
BAL  9.5%   3%  35/1
SD   1.0%   2%  30/1

Isn't this thread redundant?

Isn't this thread redundant?

I think that many posts are redundant. I usually don't respond to one's that I find so. I posted this so as to not try to chronicle the Vegas odd but to have posters put their number on teams. Vegas numbers are hugely inflated since you can only bet one way. If they could get away with it, they would have all team at even money and rake in huge cash. In statistical terms, the odds are not a "fair bet". The expected value of winnings, from a fair bet of a dollar, is a dollar. These odds aren't close to that.
