Defensive tackles

Terrence Cody, Baltimore Ravens
Colin Cole, Carolina Panthers
Dwan Edwards, Carolina Panthers
Kenrick Ellis, New York Jets He was the poor man's BJ Raji (played along side Raji at BC). No thanks.
Nick Fairley, Detroit Lions
Andre Fluellen, Detroit Lions
Letroy Guion, Green Bay Packers
Nick Hayden, Dallas Cowboys
Tommy Kelly, Arizona Cardinals
Karl Klug, Tennessee Titans
Terrance Knighton, Denver Broncos
C.J. Mosley, Detroit Lions  age 31. No thanks
Jared Odrick, Miami Dolphins age 27. He's 6'5" but only 304 lbs. maybe a little too light.
Stephen Paea, Chicago Bears  age 26, but only 300 lbs, however he's only 6'1" so he's pretty compact. might be worth a look. had 6 sacks in 2014.
Corey Peters, Atlanta Falcons
Ryan Pickett, Houston Texans
Ahtyba Rubin, Cleveland Browns
Pat Sims, Oakland Raiders
Ndamukong Suh, Detroit Lions
Kevin Vickerson, Kansas City Chiefs
Dan Williams, Arizona Cardinals
Kevin Williams, Seattle Seahawks
Corey Wootton, Minnesota Vikings  age 27. 6'6" and 270 maybe as a 3-4 DE.

It will be interesting to see if the Pack's philosophy on the DL changes again.  Last year they made the decision to get lighter, quicker and more active along the defensive front in an effort to become more disruptive (the reason they chose Thornton).  They moved away from the big bodied, traditional NT type with the exception of Raji, although he had shown in a past the quick first step and penetration abilities to be that disruptive type (vs Pickett) even at his size.  The results defensively were decidedly mixed so will be interesting to see if their desired body type/skill set changes again --- I suspect not.

I wanted a player like Nix last year but he just wasn't the type of player the Pack was looking to move forward with.   So if they entertain any DL in free agency or the draft I suspect they would be closer to the 300-310 lb range than the 320-340 range.   (don't see Banks or Phillips as options in the draft accordingly)

Jared Odrick would be the perfect fit for GB but he played himself into a big contract this offseason and can't see him being on the Pack's radar.

Despite the recent issue with Guion - I think he gets brought back along with a draft choice and they bring in a cheap, camp fodder vet closer to the start of training camp to compete

Edit: Dannobanano - originally posted this as somewhat of a reply to your comments about players being "too light"  Just saw your post in the ILB thread after I posted this so obviously we agree on type of players Pack may be looking for on DL

Thanks for the "props"!

But I kind of like Phillips as a NT/DT. He's very athletic and at 6-6 he wears his 330+ lbs very well.

He had a 69 yard TD on a sack/fumble/recovery against Tulsa. The young man can really motor. (all videos I found were blocked)
TD was called back due to an illegal block by a teammate.

With Kendall Langford being released by the Rams, I wonder if TT would take a look at bringing him in??

Age 29
6-6
315lbs
scheme versatile

and he wouldn't cost the Packers a comp pick because he's a street FA.

I'd rather bring him in as opposed to bringing back Guion at this point.

I would not mind him being brought in for a good look. He may be a good fit.

Not sure what Green Bay will do with Guion. I expect them to hold off until the end and sign him to a vet min. 1 year deal. His stock hit ground zero after the charges got filed.

What I like about Langford is his length.

He could go inside on passing downs, but he could also play DE on base downs as well.

Wow, the 49ers got a tremendous deal for Darnell Dockett IMO!  Even coming off a knee injury a 2 year 7.5 million dollar deal is a pretty affordable deal for a player of his caliber.  He'll make less next year than Raji made last year  :o
