Alex Boone to Vikes

I really hated seeing this one.

If they get Loadhoalt and Sullivan back full strength, plus this guy, Minny is going to go from a below average to a good OL.

And they won the division last year with that below average line.

Boone is a good and versatile player who can also play tackle in addition to guard.

And now the Vikes sign Andre Smith.

They are really concentrating on their OL.

It will be better and deeper.  And I think they will also draft an OL.

All due respect......
Recognizing the JUGGERNAUT that MN has (or is) becoming - lets not lose sight of the fact our offense went from #1 in the NFL to bargain basement because of injuries across the offensive spectrum - and still - they just barely beat us.

I look forward to playing them (and anyone in the NFC North) with a full deck again.

(Get us a good, FAST and preferrably tall, pass catching TE and we'll kick anybodies ass)

Wake me up when they get a Quarterback.

Or even a receiver.

You don't understand.

Their running game just got better.

And it was good to begin with.

I can see the headlines now:

ONE DIMENSIONAL TEAM MIGHT BE SLIGHTLY BETTER IN THEIR ONE DIMENSION!

Actually, we do understand. We just disagree.

As far as the Vikings getting better, we'll see when the games are played. They still have a developing QB, who could well become the second coming of Christian Ponder. Peterson is a year older, and a running game is most useful in setting up the pass. And there is the problem. Oh, and here's a link to the Vikings offensive depth from last year. http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/depth/_/name/min/minnesota-vikings

Will they be better? Sure. Better than the Packers? Highly doubtful. We go through this angst every year, and the results seldom vary: the Packers make the playoffs, other divisional teams do well for a year or so, then fade.

The joke is on you.

Because of his OL, Peterson did not really have a good year, not for him.   He thought he would rush for 2000 yards, since he was off the previous year.  Not even close.

In 7 games he rushed for 70 yards or less.  In seven games, he averaged less than four yards per carry.

That is due to the OL.  If you recall, in his big year, he clearly dominated the Packers.  I mean he made us look like a college team.

With these new OL players, plus a draftee, that is what they are looking forward to again.

And that will really help Brdigewater.

Unfortunately for Bridgewater his accuracy is below average when he throws it over 20 yards.   ;D

YOu don't understand.

THe NFL is a passing league

The Vikings suck at passing.

And it was never good to begin with.

He can have 5 pro bowlers in front of him. Won't change the fact that he sucks throwing the ball.

You stick to crowing about the Vikings winning the off season every year. The rest of us will stick with the team that gets it done on the field year in and year out.

cpk, he also lauds the Bears. And other teams that sign FA's. However, when those same FA's are dumped a year later because they are overpaid and underachieved, there are... crickets.

Yup. Passing league. Of the top 10 passing teams last year, 3 made the playoffs.    You know what  those 3 teams had in common?   They all held the other teams to under 20 points per game during the regular season.

Of the top 12 teams in defense in points per game, 11 made the playoffs.  But it's a passing league.
Something new coming soon!
