Losers get fired.

"The Buffalo Bills fired coach Rex Ryan on Tuesday after almost two seasons with the team. Ryan's firing comes after the Bills lost 34-31 in overtime Saturday to the Miami Dolphins to eliminate Buffalo from postseason contention for a 17th consecutive season."

"The Jacksonville Jaguars didn't have to look far for their next coach...Doug Marrone has accepted the team's full-time head coaching job.
The team also is hiring Tom Coughlin, their first head coach, as the team's executive vice president. "

It's official:

In a unique move, the Chargers will play their home games the next two seasons in a 30,000 seat, newly built soccer stadium.

Sad for those fans in San Diego. I live near Seattle, where basketball fans are still mourning the loss of the SuperSonics.

I dont know the numbers, but how big a market is SD? Are they large enough on their own to be viewed separate/distinct (and supportive) enough - to support construction of the new stadium? I mean - it seems these negotiations / discussions have been going on for a long time. Perhaps that was mandated by the current lease?  It's just not enough of a "football town" to warrant the outlay? Were the Chargers shooting too high in size/scope & cost of a new facility?

Makes the no sense. Playing in that stadium will cost them like $50m/ yr in lost revenue. Why not stay in SD until the la stadium is done? Sounds to me like the next step in a messy negotiation with the goal of getting SD to fold and build them a stadium.

Wow. I imagine he'll do well there. Bennett is definitely signing someplace else.

Ian Rapoport @RapSheet:
The Dolphins believe QB Ryan Tannehill tore his ACL.
Not torn.  Just strained.  They still don't know how long he will be out.

Sprain - tear of a ligament
Strain - tear of a muscle or tendon

So Tannehill has an ACL, that is a sprain, which is a tear.
