Actually, ingesting a bit of poison can be a good thing as it kills those pesky bacteria and parasites that live within you. So - next time - double dip that Salsa!
Okay, but Brady takes the first bite  :)

Well, that makes the Perry deal more understandable.

TT will now have to draft an OLB in round one or two.

I'm sad about this. It was great having Peppers on the team. We'll miss his playmaking ability.

I suspect the team will miss his leadership more than anything else.

I felt this was a bit inevitable. I enjoyed Peppers while he was with the Packers though. Smart, cool dude.

Was a great surprise signing and had a nice run with us.     I had secret hopes he would sign cheaply for one last run (although I like he will end his career in Car where it started) and we would draft Malik McDowell as our new 3-4 end.   The idea of guys like Peppers, Daniels, Clay, HaHa mentoring and pushing Malik appealed to me.

I think going back home will keep Peppers motivated for one more year (which will be ended vs the Pack in the NFC Championship)

He was too slow and his age was showing.  I am very thankful he played well for a couple of years for us.  It is now time to draft another DE

Sign Connor Barwin to backup Clay and Perry, re-sign Datone Jones to replace Peppers role as a rush end and occasional DE.

Jones didn't get a lot of sacks (actually, hardly any at all), but he generated a lot of pressure. If he finished even 1/4 of those, he'd be getting a huge payday. Pressure = disruption = success.

I'm pretty new here, but is it common for new threads to be opened while the exact same subject is being discussed in another thread?

I hope they gave him 8 or 9 a year. That way we'll get a comp pick.

The number I saw was $3.5M, up to $4.25M with incentives.
