Queens to dump Bridgewater, Keenum, Bradford.
« on: February 27, 2018, 11:24:31 AM »
NFL reports they will let all three go to FA, leaving MN with only Kyle Sloter under contract

So 2018 looks like it will be a bidding war for Cousins or perhaps one of the aforementioned three. Cousins will cost a lot of money - he's obviously going to want more than Garopollo, figure about $28m/year 5 years $80m guaranteed. I like Cousins, but I wouldn't pay that for him. And that's presuming the Jets retain a slim modicum of rationality, which is unlikely imho.

Personally, I think Cousins breaks the bank somewhere, Keenum does too, Bridgewater fails to feel the love and MN gets him back for $20m/yr or something like that. Bradford, I dunno, he'll land somewhere but not for brake the bank money.

Scout.com estimates odds like this:

Case Keenum – 2:1.
Teddy Bridgewater – 5:1.
AJ McCarron –  7:1.
Kirk Cousins –  10:1.
Sam Bradford – 15:1.
Matt Moore – 18:1.
Josh McCown –  20:1.
Ryan Fitzpatrick –  25:1.
Drew Brees –  50:1.

Let them test the market, and let the market determine their value. Though I'm sure the Vikes have their own ideas as two which of these guys they'd target. Bradford? Can't stay healthy. Keenum? Was he a one year wonder, or is he a "late bloomer"? Bridgewater? The Vikes know better than anyone exactly how healthy he is, and whether he is capable of returning to his pre-injury form. So, Cousins? Fool's gold, IMO. He puts up good stats, but he's not a winner. He lacks the "it factor" that separates the good from the great.

This is a very interesting QB FA market this year.

Expect that Keenum is possible in Arizona or Denver and a fallback in Minnesota.
Bradford in Arizona or Denver.
Cousins with the Jets (I hope this is the case) or Minnesota.
McCarron in Cleveland or the Jets.
Is Buffalo a player in all this?
It will be a wild first week of free agency for sure.

This^

We've never seen a QB market place anything like this. There will be at least a dozen QBs signed by various teams, and many of those will be starters.
