$14.5m 3 yrs.

Athletically Jones is an improvement.

The loss here is that Morgan got everyone lined up

Pettine will simplify the calls and give the job to someone else. My guess is Martinez. Smart kid.............entering his 3rd  season. He's a candidate.

Yes,  Martinez SHOULD take over that role.  Burnett is no loss IMO., he was one of the most vastly overrated Packer players in this century.  Easy replacement.
The Packers reportedly never even nade him an offer.  That was a good decision.

A signing bonus of $8.25 million. Apparently nothing else guaranteed (at least as far as is known; details will be forthcoming). He wanted over $8 million/year, and settled for about half. And as far as lining up the defense last year, there were many times there was confusion on the field, leading to easy big gains. Apparently, as noted, the Packers didn't even make an offer, which means (again, apparently) that Pettine simply didn't see him as a fit for his defensive schemes.

We eanted changes, especially defensive change; well, its here.
