There are some notable cuts, names like Jonathan Cooper G at SF, Wil Sutton, DT, etc.  Some good veterans out there.  Cooper would start today!  Be nice to fill fout our roster and send Perry, Davis, others packing!!!

To follow up on @RobDemovsky report earlier, Quinten Rollins has a hamstring injury and he's going onto injured reserve. Not sure what type of IR yet.

There will be changes this weekend.  I look for Herb Waters to be cut with the idea of getting him on PS. Will find an OLB to take his spot. Will release Trevor Davis or put Kummow on IR- add a running back for 2 weeks.

PS- assuming no one gets picked up
DB  Waters
LB Donnerson, Biegel, Thomas, Martini
DL Looney
OL Austin Davis
RB  ?

Will be looking to add another O lineman or two   possibly Mbu at nose tackle.

I don't really see the issue about two running backs.  It's two weeks.
*How many snaps does the third running back get in any game?
*And even when you have three or four, how often is the 3rd guy game-day active?

Aaron Jones was #3 last year; he didn't get a carry until Sept 28th vs Chicago, and the injury rate was uncommonly fast to allow for even that soon an opportunity.

Remembering back to years past, we know there was the Montgomery year; but how many years do you even remember who the #3 RB was?

I've got no reluctance to plan to go for two weeks with only two running backs, myself.

It's an issue because Ty is made of glass, and Williams isn't Superman.

Both have been on the injury list for a good part of the preseason.

JMHO, but they need a 3rd RB on the roster for week 1.
