Not a real good comparison

It was for my purposes.  Both guys had developed an injury history, both guys were seen as being on the decline, both guys wanted more money than folks thought they were worth.  The salary demands are pretty comparable too, considering the salary cap has ballooned since Woodson's original deal with Green Bay.  I don't have any idea if Long's NFL career will rebound like Woodson's did -- just drawing the parallel for the sake of conversation.  Down doesn't always mean out.

I wanted to say it wasn't a good comparison either, but now, I think you are right.  Down does not equal out.

But there is still little hope that TT throws money at the LT or RT position via free agency.
