The OFFICIAL Dolphins v Packers Game Day Thread
« on: November 07, 2018, 11:15:05 AM »
There is no more room for error. What should have been a break from a very tough part of the schedule instead has become a "must win" game. But at this point, that is every game left on the schedule. Every week, optimism has been the main note. Hope and believe and the team will turn things around. Now? They're in danger of being eliminated from the playoffs, with (a relatively healthy) Rodgers at QB. And at this point, the situation is looking increasingly bleak. There seems to be a disconnect between the coaching staff and the team. More so on offense, and that particular problem has been thoroughly discussed on this site. The defense has, although currently ranked at #10 (!) been inconsistent, to say the least. The coaching staff seems unwilling or unable to make adjustments as the game develops. I haven't given up yet, but the plus size woman is definitely warming up in the wings.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said earlier this year he didn't think a Midwest team should have to play a Thursday game two time zones away. It got even worse for the Packers when this Sunday's game got flexed from noon to 3:25 before next Thursday's trip to Seattle. "I agree with Mike Zimmer," Packers coach Mike McCarthy

Rob Demovsky, ESPN Staff Writer

The Seattle game is going to be a tough hurdle to overcome.

Well the first course of action for the Packers this week is to just get back to .500. Worry about nothing else and handle their business with the Dolphins. Historically the Packers seem to always catch Miami at the wrong time in the schedule, but this year would seem that the Dolphins are catching the Packers at the wrong time for them.

Dolphins at Packers:

Regular season, all-time: 4-10
All-time postseason: 0-0

In 2010 was the last time Miami played in Green Bay and it was not a good ending for the Packers. The Chad Henne lead Dolphins defeated the Packers 23-20 in OT in a game GB had no business losing.

What is ironic here is that after that game came the legendary R-E-L-A-X. The Packers were stumbling along, but after the Miami game got hot winning their next 4 games and carrying that momentum all the way to a Super Bowl win. Can Miami's next visit spark a repeat of history?

One game at a time.

Pettine is going to punch them in the mouth and not let them get comfortable. Rodgers is frustrated, this should be a big game for him.

Packers only need six inactives because they're at 52 on the roster. The last spot likely will be filled by Trevor Davis.

#Dolphins will be without both starting OTs - Laremy Tunsil and Ju'wan James -- and starting LG Ted Larsen vs. #Packers today.

Packers DL needs to feast today.

R-E-L-A-X came in 2014 after the loss to DET.

Run-the-table comment was 2016 after the loss to the Skins.

He need's a new slogan to jumpstart this team if they have any hope.

Not a good start for the rushing defense.  39 yard run by Frank Gore doesn't bode well.

Best opening drive of the year.  Aaron Jones looks good.  Lets get him 20 carries today to see what he can do.

I hope we come out now in a heavier defense. Our dime isn't going to cut it against these guys.

I understand Jones is in McCarthy's dog house. I dunno what he did - spit on McCarthy's cat? Pee on McCarthy's lawn?

All I know is I love the guy and I wish we'd use him more.
