The OFFICIAL Lions v Packers Game Day Thread
« on: December 26, 2018, 03:26:06 PM »
One last game, one last chance to end the season right, one last chance to show this team underperformed. A chance to close out the season on an up note, and take a small bit of solace into the off-season. A season where we were speculalting on whether the team would be undefeated at the bye week quickly went sour. But remember the great comeback in the first Bears game? What about the great comeback against the Jets? We go into the off-season looking for a new HC for the first time in over a decade. Rodgers seems to have gotten back into a groove, some of the rookies look really promising, and some vets have more than proved their worth. No matter how badly the team played, there was always a spark of hope. There still is- not for this year, but for next year. Time to look forward with hope, and not backward in anger.
"My hopes are not always realized, but I always hope." Ovid

Packers vs. Lions:

All-time, Regular season: 98-71-7
All-time, Postseason: 2-0
All-time, at Lambeau Field: 33-12-3
Streaks: The Lions have won the last three meetings.

Including a 1994 playoff victory, the Packers are 25-2 against the Lions in the state of Wisconsin since 1992.

The Lions had their win in the cheese state last year, time to return to the Packers making the Lions visit to Wisconsin the annual W for the Packers. Close the year on a positive and a 6-1-1 record at home this season.

Interesting how stats can lose a lot of their meaning when other parts of the team don't hold up their end of the bargain.

Just goes to show that a successful season is a sum of ALL the parts, and that it takes an entire TEAM to get to the Big Dance.

Thanks for sharing RT.

Why doesn't Rodgers throw to wide open receivers, especially when he has 8 seconds?

Its disappointing seeing the crowd packed with energy despite the situation of the season and the team not responding with the same energy. I'm guessing there are some real diehard fans in the stands today who dont normally get to attend games due to cost.

Thanks for the correction.

Though he could be called average Joe.

Yeah, he's been a disappointment for sure. Not for the lack of opportunities either. Has rarely been in position to use those supposed ball skills.

Prater wasn't even lined up in a traditional fg kick position. His body language gave the fake away. How could that not be seen from a mile away?

This special team units is something else.
