This might be the most logical Safety addition available for the Packers. I believe he played for Pettine in Cleveland.

Source says the Jaguars are releasing safety Tashaun Gipson.

This just keeps pushing the market value of guys like Tre Boston, Weddle, and Arian Amos lower and lower.

Packers may be able to pick up a good FS relatively cheap.

The number of FA safeties available makes me wonder if it is just possible the Packers get TWO vets there. It would be a rather surprising move, as you want some youth coming through at as many positions as possible. However, two vet safeties would complement an inexperienced CB group rather nicely, and give the Packers more flexibility in the draft. Also the more veteran safeties that are out there, the better the price could be, for the Packers.

I think they will resign Ibraheim Capmbell (Pettine drafted him in Cleveland) if his medicals check out following his acl surgery, as he's an in-the-box SS and knows Pettine's defense, and then sign a FS field general like Weddle or Boston?

Draft a solid FS in this draft for the future and they are sitting much better.

Almost as soon as Weddle is available, he is gone again.

Not sure what to make of this?

I was hoping for Gute to consider a RB in FA. Just not this direction.

You never know I guess, but that is another rumor that makes no sense. It very well could be click baiting. Social media uses the Packers, Patriots and Cowboys as bait and it greatly spikes their click volume.

Could be Gute getting some Packer PR.  He said he wants to be in every conversation.  Maybe he's trying to get away from the Packers closed for FA business approach by TT.

No idea, but that feels like an agent trying to create a market. Happens a lot with the Packers when all they’re doing is due diligence. But, now they’ve called, so the agent uses it.

Which confirms my skepticism.

Good get, RT.

Chiefs signed Carlos Hyde to a 1 year deal, not Ingram.

Chiefs signed Carlos Hyde.

Bears as a mention doesn't make much sense unless they can move Howard, I feel like they may have a hard time finding a suitor for a back who struggled this past year and doesn't contribute much in the passing game.

Personally, I'd like to see how LaFleur utilizes Jones & Williams, and I think teams are coming by RBs in the draft easier than in the past, I'd pass on Ingram.
