SEattle-KC trade
« on: April 23, 2019, 12:00:39 PM »
Looks like Seattle has offered up Frank Clark to KC for their 1st rd pick and a 2nd rd pick next year, KC Seattle will flip flop picks in 3rd rd this year.   Seattle has to offload some salary here.  Waiting for them to waive Bobby Wagner.  Pack should pounce on him when this happens.

Wagner's cap # for this year was just over $14M, even if he clears waivers, he's not going to come to GB for peanuts

Clark is a good football player, and the first casualty of Russell Wilson's deal.  Decent haul for Seattle though.

That is such a bad deal for KC, hard to believe that Seattle was able to pull that off. Kudos to them.

Clark's new contract: $105.5m / 5 years, $64m guaranteed.

Is he really better than Dee Ford? I have some serious questions about KC's off season.

KC now has Frank Clark and Chris Jones on the same DL.

Their other guys aren't world beaters, but they're not chicken **** either.

I'm not sure if it's good or bad for KC, but my guess is they felt getting a proven star player as opposed to drafting a DL/DE at #29 was a better bet.

KC is changing from a 3-4 to a 4-3 DL. Clark is a better fit in that defense than Ford.

SEA won't dump Wagner now.

They just cleared $17.1M from the books with the Clark trade. They now have $26M in cap space, even counting Wilson's new contract.

It's Wagner's final year of his contract. He will play it out and hit FA next year.

Couldn't have happened to a better man...

Oh wait...yes it could....he's a POS.

And KC...they make a strong statement with Kareem Hunt...but then...while waiting for the wheels of justice to turn on their star WR who previously faced charges for domestic assault and battery by strangulation on his pregnant girlfriend and just had his child removed from his home this summer...they trade for Clark -with his own past of domestic violence.

KC should just trade for Joe Mixon, draft Jeffery Simmons and maybe try to get Greg Hardy out of retirement.

I have lost all respect for Andy Reid and that front office.

Chiefs had to drop Kareem Hunt, Tyreek Hill is under investigation and they just gave up a first and second, and will pay bank to Frank Clark.

Chiefs must be playing the percentages.
