He’s had a lot of injuries. Wish him the best.

Here's a report from NFL Network.

Now, the interesting thing will be how much the Colts demand back from Luck. Especially his pro-rated signing bonus. This is going to literally cost Luck millions.

Looks like they have a injury settlement with Luck already.

Apparently Luck knew he wouldn't have to repay the Colts anything when he retired. Smart move. And Irsay is still holding out hope that Luck will decide to return at some point. This seems to be a gamble the Colts are willing to take: be nice to him now, and hopefully he'll find that, like many players, the itch to play (and earn megabucks) overcomes any reluctance to overcome the pain and drain of football.

Shocker.  Guy is only 29 and had a good year last year.

If I was the Colts I would go after Jarret Stidham from the Pats. Saw him play today and he looks  good.

Brissett will be a decent starter.  This team is much better than the one he helmed a couple of years ago.  The problem is they have no depth behind him. So I would bring in Stidham as the third stringer.

I wonder if they call Colin K as the vet back up?

Wow.

Well they currently have $56.4M in cap space according to OTC, which I find crazy at this point all things considered.
https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/indianapolis-colts/

I wonder if they are in compliance with the NFL "89% Rule" which requires team to spend at/above 89% of their salary cap over a 4 year period?
Just to note, the Colts started the 2019 FA period with $106.4M in cap space. So $85M seems like small potatos compared to that.
That amount is nearly triple what Green Bay had to work with.
