Wanted to share this and really didn't see a spot to do it, so adding this thread for odds and ends.

Most consecutive season-opening wins:
1. Packers/Chiefs: 5

Most consecutive season-opening losses:
1. Bears/Colts: 6

Note: The Browns tied last season, but have not won their opener since 2004.

Jets sign a Ficken kicker, Sam Ficken that is.

After the Jets kicker missed a FG and XP in their 1 point loss to the Bills on Sunday the Jets have a new man for the job. He's Ficken-Kicker.

Lol!
Colts should have snagged Ficken first.

Vinatieri missed 2 FG’s and an extra point. One FG was 29 yds! yikes!

The Jets jettisoned Kaare Vedvik, who the Vikes traded for, and then cut, and then was signed by the Jets. Recall, there was some slight traction on this site to bring him in as a possible replacement for the "overpaid, unreliable" Crosby. And Ficken, of course, was the another guy some wanted to replace Crosby. Now we'll have a chance to see which guy is better, since both will be kicking in similar environments: outdoors and cold/snowy. Personally, I hope both guys have stellar years.
