Roethlisberger out for season
« on: September 16, 2019, 09:10:56 AM »
Last week the Steelers traded their backup QB to the Jags for a 5th round pick next year.

This week they lose Roethlisberger for the year.

Their odds of winning the SB dropped to 200-1. And the options at backup QB are very, very slim.

And Drew Brees is gone for a while: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/09/16/drew-brees-needs-thumb-surgery-likely-out-six-weeks/

And of course, Nick Foles was lost early in the first game he played this season.

QB's are dropping like flies!

Mason Ruodolf played pretty well in relief of Big Ben. They drafted him as the hopeful heir to replace Ben.

Green Bay needs to be thinking about that in the next year or two.

Agree, but do they offer up the kings ransom to move up or draft a guy in the first few rounds who comes to them?   Possibly trading up in the second or third for a guy they like.   That will be interesting.

They do their homework on every QB prospect and if a guy you like and believe would fit your system you take them where you think they should go in the draft.

Rudolph fell to Pitt in the 3rd round. I’d say they got great value with that pick.

That’s what I hope to happen when Gute feels its time.

Assuming everyone stays healthy.  The AFC race is over.  The only question left is where the AFC Championship will be played.  NE or KC.
