The OFFICIAL Lions v Packers Game Day Thread

Time to break the streak and bring back the Packers being Lion tamers: https://heavy.com/sports/2019/10/lions-packers-rivalry-recent-history/

However, this is not going to be an easy game. The Lions are for real. But then again, so are the Packers. The offense depended on the defense the first three games, then had a let down (as did the entire team) in game four. Back to business on both sides of the ball (at least in the first half) for the team. But now it's time for both sides to hit more consistently on both sides of the ball. And hopefully, special teams will not be the deciding factor in this game. But right now, it seems the team was wrong to not pay a better ST's coach, rather than settling for a guy who is cheaper, but not nearly as successful. This is a winnable game, and could once again help establish that Lambeau is not a place your team wants to visit. Call it a toss-up, but I think the coin flip will favor the Packers.

IIRC we lost 3 in a row to the Lions.  After Aaron Jones went off, he isnt going to sneak up on anyone with DeVante Adams possibly out again.  Rodgers may have to do something through the air this week.

Rodgers had 422 yards through the air against Philly, the only loss for the Packers. All his other games have been between 200-250 yards. It's now incumbent on the offense to show they can impose their will against anyone. And speaking of breaking a team's spirit, I just came from the local grocery store (HEB, a Texas institution). They had Cowboys jerseys deeply discounted.  >:D

Stafford has a quick Tom Brady like release this year... and his offensive line is huge I don't see very many sacks happening in this game... our secondary is going to have to play tight..... KJ is a very good running back... very strong..... the Lions pass rush it's off and on... and the secondary doesn't look that strong however their defense does seem to get stronger as the game gets longer..... should be a very good one..

The losses of Adams and Savage are important. But also important is the return of J. Williams in the backfield. He's that guy who does the little things that can mean the difference in a close game. And this is going to be a close game.

Redmond was suppose to be overtop on the first long pass by Detroit but King torched on both plays.

That was not a TD. The side camera clearly showed he didnt make it to the goal line. That's Fing BS. Maybe the packers can remember they are playing a football game at some point as well.

Great start - good defenses don't allow as many opposing players to get behind them as much as this defense does. When your as athletically talented as these corners are and this happens, can we start to question their football smarts?
