By now I'm pretty much overloaded on the mock-draft front, there's a gazillion of them out there at the moment............but I did take the time to read this and I think it is an excellent effort.

I have different late round favourites (which is probably true of many draft fans) like:
TE Devin Asiasi (5th)
QB James Morgan (6th)
T/G Yasir Durant (6th)
ILB Mykal Walker (6th/7th)
CB Nevelle Clarke (6th)
WR Jeff Thomas (7th)
WR Joe Reed (7th)
OT Jon Runyan (7th)
RB Antonio Gibson (7th)
RB JaMycal Hasty (7th)
TE Jacob Breeland (7th)
G Gage Cervenka (7th)

I like going DL in round one (though I'd have gone for Blacklock), I like Peoples-Jones in round 2 (it took time for me to warm to him) and Strnad in the 6th (athletic enough to have a chance).

(ricky) "Personally, I'm putting this in a box, driving a stake through its heart, firing a silver bullet into its (empty) head, nailing it shut, loading it into a rocket and firing it into the sun. "

(Pink Floyd) "Set the controls for the heart of the sun"

I like Blacklock a lot too. It was between him and Davidson for me, it was a toss up. I love Strnad's potential. He actually has a pretty high floor. At the very least he will be a good STs guy and pretty good coverage LB. He has potential to be a starter though. I don't think he will actually last until the 6th.

Did another one with a trade down. Which I think I've said before but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. There are a lot of holes to fill on this roster. Its a very deep draft.

I'll preface this by saying I haven't looked at historical trades to verify value so the hypo trade may actual be good value historically--

I also know there are multiple value charts available with slightly differing #'s, but I like to refer to drafttek's trade value chart      https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp?RequestTeam=gb      In this case the value of #30 is 620 pts.  The value of #38 and #113 are 588pts.   Quick calculation <beep, boop, beep, beep> shows a loss of value of 32 pts or the relative value of a late round 4 comp pick or 1st pick in 5th round.  Carolina's addtl pick at #152 is 29.4 pts

Wouldn't want us to miss that extra 5th rounder -- Super Bowl!

You are picking players that are probably on the Packers draft board, so that is a good start.

I think pretty good overall actually. Both Jones and Cleveland were there, just took Cleveland for a different look. I actually like Jones better for gb. Had to take Hightower. Hes almost perfect fit for gb, Similar physically to Jennings. Traded up for Ojemudia. He screams packers db, played at Iowa, has the size and speed, etc..This would leave gb with a pretty strong roster overall IMO.

This is the best mock I have seen on here so far. Most of the players are probably on the Packers board except for Strnad and Perine.

On your 53 projection, I highly doubt they would role with 3 rookie backups for their OL depth. The Packers have some good depth on their OL already and I don't think they will just throw it away to keep some rookies.

Perrine actually has a better RAS than Williams, so he might be. I don't see why Strnad wouldn't be on their board. If you watch his tape he plays faster and more athletic than his testing, so he might be. They would need those three Dow the line, and with two extra roster spots now it makes sense to keep another OL. Wagner will probably only a one year guy. Turner while ok, can be cut next off-season with no cap hit and Linsley will be a FA and the Packers might let him walk. I'm not advocating cutting Turner, but we could use more depth.

And thanks I thought the mock came out pretty good surprisingly. Would have liked to have gotten an edge, but just didn't work out

None of us know without doubt who is all on the Packers board, but just using historical data would suggest they are not. I don't believe RAS is a major factor in the decision process. Perine ran a 4.62/40 combined with a borderline 7.13 3-cone and that is probably a disqualifier. Strnad had a 4.74/40 and 4.49 short shuttle, both disqualifiers for ILB's.

The RB that screams Packers type this year is Joshua Kelley from UCLA.

Williams was worse at the combine, 4.59 40 and a 7.25 3 cone. So I don't think those number completely disqualifies Perine. Williams RAS was 4.54. Perine was 5.22.

Strnad ruptured his bicep in october and missed the rest of the season. Its about a four to five month recovery time so I think it affected how much time he had to train, if you watch his film hes pretty athletic. I think he would have improved those numbers a lot if he had been able to have a pro day. JMO. Thompson drafted Terrell Manning in the 5th in 2012. He had a 4.79 40, and a 4.43 short shuttle and a 7.18 3 cone. Also DJ Smith ran a 4.88 with a 4.45 short shuttle. Desmond Bishop ran a 4.77 and ran a 4.65 short shuttle. With all the stuff being shut down from covid I think he's going to slip, and far enough where the packers may take him just off his film and I think he will surprise people. I've watched Kelley for two years and yeah he definately screams packers RB, he just wasn't there when I took Perine.
