Final Pre-Draft Mock
« on: April 15, 2020, 07:37:13 AM »
Round 1/#30
Jalen Reagor/WR/TCU
Changed my mind about him after I saw his personal pro day video. His Combine performance was an anomaly.

Round 2/#62
Chase Claypool/WR-TE/Notre Dame
Might not get him here. If Gute really wants him, he may need to trade up. This player has Belichick/New England written all over him.

Round 3/#94
Reggie Robinson/CB/Tulsa
Some may say "too soon", but he's been a fast riser over the last few weeks.

Round 4/#136
Shaun Bradley/ILB/Temple
Side line to side line and coverage ability

Round 5/#175
Jack Driscoll/OT/Auburn
Good pass pro. Not a road grader run blocker, but an athletic great fit for outside zone run scheme

Round 6a/#192
Jon Runyan/G-C/Michigan
Another college OT who converts to IOL in GB. Bloodlines.

Round 6b/#208
Patrick Taylor/RB/Memphis
Don't look at his 2019 stats as he was injured. Look at 2018.

Round 6c/#209
Tyler Clark/DT/Georgia
Strong interior run defender who got snubbed for Combine. Just ask the Georgia coaching staff.

Round 7a/#236
Kevin Davidson/QB/Princeton
Accurate passer (67%) with 20-6 TD/INT ratio in 2019

Round 7c/#242
James Smith-Williams/OLB/NC St.
When he wasn't injured he was trouble for the other team. Low risk, high reward at this spot in the draft

Not really arguing, but curious as to why you waited so late to go after a DL?

Packers need help at stopping the run along the DL. Clark was a + run-stopper for Georgia with some upside to develop as a pocket collapsing pass rusher.
He'd make a solid addition at 3-Tech DE.
He would help free up Kenny Clark.

If you can get a player like that later in the draft, why use an early pick.

His stat line in 2019 was:
36 tackles/8 TFL's/2.5 sacks/8 QB hurries

Everyone raves about TCU DT Ross Blacklock as a possible 1st round pick for GB, so here's his 2019 stat line:
40 tackles/9 TFL's/3.5 sacks/3 QB hurries

I would also point out that SEC competition is usually tougher than Big 12.

No problem.

Everyone has a different lense.

I like Reagor,  definitely would add a wrinkle to the offense.  My concern is if he is John Ross 2.0.  I saw Ross play at UW, watched DB's consistantly play 10-12 yards off the ball.   NFL is a different game with press coverage.  I see what you are seeing though.  suspect hands, but you gotta account for that guy on every play.
